When you are moving house cooking is one of the last things on your mind but it is essential isn’t it? Whether you have a big removal company or man and van removals you will have someone moving everything for you but this doesn’t mean you need to resort to takeaways. How about using some of the gadgets you probably already have and minimal utensils to make yourself an easy meal the night of your move?

Toastie maker

Making a cheese toastie is really quick and easy and requires very little in the way of utensils but really does fill you up when you have had a busy day. Get out that toastie maker for a quick easy meal.

Instant Pot

Have you seen how quickly an Instant Pot can cook a full meal? There are recipes for spaghetti bolognese made in 20 mins in one pot, how easy is that?

The Slow Cooker

Whilst this isn’t a quick way of cooking it is really easy and once you have put the ingredients in you can leave it to cook for you. Favourites of ours in the slow cooker are casseroles, pulled pork and curry. They will also make your new home smell lovely as they cook!

Kettle

Don’t rule out the kettle to help you make an easy meal. You can cook some simple noodles and if you want to bulk it out add perhaps some cooked chicken!

Smoothie maker

Smoothies can be really filling and easy to make in minutes with whatever fruit and veggies you have available. Not only that but you can drink your smoothie whilst you are unpacking so they are perfect for moving house as a filling nutritious meal!

Microwave

I am sure this is one you had not overlooked but just in case you have, don’t forget to think about microwave meals! There are so many things you can make in the microwave and it doesn’t have to be ready meals. How about making some scrambled eggs and having them on a slice of toast? that is one of my favourite quick go-to meals!
